We have a goodly heritage.

85 years ago, God used a man named Paul Levin to lay the foundation for what would become Bible Tracts, Inc.

The Beginning

Bible Tracts, Inc. (BTI) was founded in 1938 by the late Evangelist Dr. Paul J. Levin and his wife, Dorothy. God mightily used Dr. Paul's evangelistic meetings to see thousands of souls saved over his lifetime. He began full-time evangelism at 19, and his longevity and effectiveness caused him to be known as "The Dean of Evangelists." His impact was especially felt in the Midwest and Southern United States.

As a young man in the late 1930s, Dr. Paul wrote two articles for a Christian periodical, The Evangel. There was an unexpected plea for these articles to be printed in tract form. The printing of the first 3,000 tracts only intensified the interest of God's people for more tracts. So, out of a room in the Levin home, Bible Tracts, Inc. was born. Dr. Paul wrote, printers printed, Dorothy folded, and God blessed and continues to bless.

The Dynamic Duo

Early in his ministry, Dr. Paul was led to enhance his evangelistic meetings with music. God opened the door for him to team up with Bob Findley. Mr. Findley was a blind singer/guitar player already known in the Midwest because of his radio appearances. The team of Paul and Bob remained a strong and heaven-blessed duo for the next 40 years.

The Radio

A new phase of ministry began in 1958. In that year, Bible Tract Echoes, a daily 15-minute radio broadcast, began. This tool furthers our mission of taking "The Word of God to All the World."

From that pivotal moment in 1958, the global reach of Bible Tract Echoes has soared to remarkable heights. Today, our Director, Micah McCurry, can be heard around the world, broadcasted over 100+ stations worldwide. This expansion isn't just a testament to the power of technology, but to the unquenchable thirst for the Word of God across continents and cultures.

The Future

Dr. Levin went to be with the Lord in 1996, leaving a godly legacy and a long shadow. While leadership faces and names change, our focus remains fixed. With a heritage rooted in an unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel, we continue to distribute the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to countless souls worldwide. Under our current Director, Micah McCurry, the ministry continues to uphold its foundational values, ensuring that the timeless truth of the Gospel remains accessible to all.

Since 1938, BTI has expanded, printing in many languages worldwide. The concern of Dr. Levin was that no gospel worker would ever be in need of evangelistic tools. That remains our passion and has motivated us to print over 617 million tracts and give them away free of charge. Every printed page and every outreach effort is a testament to the divine guidance and provision bestowed upon BTI since its inception. As we reflect on our journey, we thank God for His abounding goodness. Our rich history and impact through the decades are clear indicators of the Lord's hand upon this ministry, driving us forward with renewed passion and purpose for the years to come.
