Where Are The Dead

That depends on how they died.

You can die “in the Lord” (Revelation 14:13)
or “in your sins” (John 8:21).

“All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).  “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9).

You were born with a sinful nature.  You are not a sinner because you sin; you sin because you are a sinner.
“The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This means eternal separation from God.

“The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8).

Good news! God’s Son died to pay the wages! “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Now He lives and is seated in Heaven. “When He had by Himself purged our sins, [He] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3).

Forgiveness, peace, hope and eternal life are IN HIM. “In Whom we have … forgiveness of sins” (Ephesians 1:7). “This life is in His Son”  (I John 5:11).

You cannot wipe one sin from your record, but HE will wash them all away the moment you receive Him as your Lord and Savior.

“As many as received Him, to them gave He power (the right) to become the sons of God” (John 1:12).

God sees you “in your sins,” unfit for Heaven. “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth” (Revelation 21:27).

To die in your sins means you die without forgiveness, without cleansing, without hope. You die under the judgment and penalty of death.

“Ye shall die in your sins,” said the Lord, “and where I go ye cannot come.” To die in your sins means you miss Heaven! However, this also means that if you do NOT die in your sins, you will go to be with Him!
