Riding The Religious Merry Go round

Merry-go-rounds are fun to ride, but they don’t take you anywhere.  Many people are attempting to reach Heaven by “merry-go-rounds,” but it is futile. Read on to discover the real way to gain eternal life.

GOOD WORKS cannot save.  Depending on good works is just like riding a merry-go-round. You may enjoy the spin, but the Bible says it is “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:5).

RELIGION cannot save. This “merry-go-round” may give you the feeling that you are Heaven-bound, but remember, the Lord Jesus said, “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

SINCERITY cannot save. You can be sincerely WRONG. This ride gives you a false sense of security.  “He that hath the SON hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (I John 5:12).

If you would die today, would you go to Heaven, or are you depending on a “merry-go-round” to get you there? You can ride the “merry-go-round” of good works, religion, and sincerity, but they will never transport you to Heaven. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

You need CHRIST to cleanse you from sin.  Good works, religion and sincerity cannot take away sin. It is the blood of Jesus that “cleanseth us from all sin” (I John 1:7).
